The full process behind the “Jaz That Ink” neon

Practicing bends:

Made the “J”!

Creating the first unit, “Jaz”:

Figuring out the placement of letters
Getting ready to splice the “a” and “z” together
Bombarding! (Pumping it with neon gas)

That’s a sexy “k”
This “t” has some complex bends
Neon is always worked on with the front side facing down
“ink” is lit!

Layout, testing, mounting:

Finalizing the layout
Testing on the kitchen table, as one does
Oh no! The transformer I got could power any pair of the units, but wasn’t strong enough to power all 3.
I ordered a new transformer in time, mounted it, and mounted all the units successfully with the help of my easel.
Ta da! She’s a beauty.
