The deeper I fell into visual expression, the more I longed to reconnect with that of my ancestors. So I pursued a long-time dream of mine: learning Chinese calligraphy. This meditative practice of rhythm, composition, and flow built me a body of work beyond words.
While the main medium is ink on rice paper, I also explore calligraphy and calligraphic abstract art with neon glass bending, acrylic paint, enamel painting, glass painting, charcoal, and suminagashi (Japanese paper marbling). Works are on paper, wooden panel, or glass.
